What’s Happened…the Clocks Have Gone Funny

Image
Did you know, something happened with the human clocks last night. I woke up this morning and needed a wee but the clock said only 5am. Nix said we had an extra hour in bed but that doesn’t suit me at all and I had to kick up a bit of a fuss to get her to let me out in the garden. She said her arm hurts after her booster thingy and she was going to stay in bed a little longer but I’m not having any of that. I don’t have lie ins after I have my bypass flushed and that is much more serious.  When I went out for my wee the rain was very heavy and the wind nearly blew me over. Once you’re wet though you can’t really get any wetter so I went down by the bins for a little nap. Nix had to put her dressing gown on and make me come in which I did but there was no way Nix was going back to sleep. She gave me some fish she’d saved for me from last night and she said it had my medication in  but I think it was drugged because I fell asleep after I’d eaten it. When I woke up I was nice and dry

It’s Booster Vaccination Day, I Have to Stay Home 😕

It’s been raining a lot today but we still had to go out in it. We did get very wet but that’s okay, Nix said it made my smelly tummy nice and clean. I did have to stay on my lead though…just in case 😇 After lunch the rain stopped and the sun came out. Nix said we could head west down the beach, away from the BCJ and I could be set free. As soon as we got there I was very keen to get off my lead. I’d spotted a lurcher way ahead and you know I am very keen on them. The second Nix released me I was off. At first Nix just thought it was excitement at being free but when I ignored her calls to come back and then barged through the family in front of me she said she got worried. She couldn’t see me any longer but she could hear the screams from the family. Nix thought they did sound like they were laughing but couldn’t be sure so she had to speed up. By the time she reached us, I was already humping the Lurcher. Thankfully the family especially the children seemed to think it was very fun

Rained all Day but This Afternoon we has Tea at Jackie’s

Guess what… we woke up to a dry duvet this morning. Nix was very pleased but it was of course as I’ve been saying all along, never my fault. If Nix had remembered to give me my medication then there wouldn’t have been the accident and she wouldn’t have had to trek over to Hove to put the duvet in to be cleaned. This was an expensive mistake which I feel she won’t be making again. Did I tell you that when we went into the cafe in Hove park it looked really pretty as they had candles everywhere. They had pumpkins too and were obviously preparing for the Halloween thingy. Nix asked them if they’d had a power cut, she doesn’t like Halloween 🙄 It’s been very wet and very windy today so I have chosen a selection of photos of my tail in the wind, I hope you like them. I have not been off my lead once because we’ve only been going round the block when the rain has stopped. I need my freedom so things better pick up tomorrow. Nix says it’s unlikely as the weather looks even worse for the week

Beth Came to Visit, I was a Bit Bored 🤭

Image
So found out who sent me my treats…it was Sheli Morris’s Baillie. He saved up his pawket money so thank you very much Baillie, I do love them 🥰 Today we have had a visit from our friend Beth and she and Nix spent the morning faffing around with hair. I went to sleep on the bed because it was a bit boring. It was a very clean bed by the way but this isn’t because I was a clean boy last night. What happened was Nix woke me up with a start in the middle of the night. She suddenly sneezed really loudly and it scared me. I demanded to be let out in the garden where it is quieter and do you know, Nix went back to sleep with me still out there. When she woke up this morning I was still out there fast asleep by the bins. She said it’s impossible to check if there was any leakage because I was lying on top of all the soil I’d dug up the day before. She says I do smell a bit pongy so we’ll have to see what happens tonight. I’ve had a bit of a clean up this afternoon ready for church tomorrow.

Hove Park Today Just Like Old Times 😇

Image
We went back to Hove this morning, we used to live there before we moved to Shoreham-by-Sea. The reason we went there was because I had just a teeny weeny acccident in the night and I’m afraid it went through to the duvet.  Nix put a clean duvet on and we’ve got a nice clean duvet cover on too and Nix has placed a towel between that and the duvet so all should be well if it happens again. Nix said she couldn’t face washing the ‘smelly old duvet’ herself and we don’t have a launderette nearby so off to Hove we went because they have a launderette with a big washing machine and they don’t mind touching my wee 😇 I shall probably have to go and see Bron my vet just to make sure my bypass is all working properly. I have been taking my medicine three times a day and I think I’m on the maximum dose now so we’ll have to see what she wants to do. My flush is due next month so I might have to go sooner for that.  Anyway a visit to Hove always entails a visit to Hove Park so I am very happy abo

A Visit from Carolyn and Keith…

Image
I’ve had a bit if a lazy day today because Nix had visitors, Carolyn and Keith. I like Keith because he helped Nix to make the new table smaller so I have even more room for my bed now. Nix still has plenty of room to eat with her friends when they visit and I can fit my box of toys in too. Nix wanted a photo of me in my bed but I was too busy guarding the front door should she try to escape without me. I was bribed in the end so I did go in but refused to face the right way. My head is hurting a bit because I did bang it on a campervan this morning. Nix said if I’d been watching where I was going instead of paying too much attention to Otto the black Labrador then the accident would never have happened. Nix says I have to stop looking across the road and walking at the same time otherwise there will be more accidents. It only hurts a bit 😇 This afternoon after Carolyn and my best friend Keith went home we went to Buckingham park. There was a bit of an incident with a black Labrador

The New Table is Assembled and There is Still Room for My Bed

Image
Well the new table is assembled and I’m pleased to say that there is plenty of room left for my bed so I’m very happy. I’m not in my bed for the photo as we’ve just got back from a walk and I’m in the garden… by the bins, my favourite place 😇 Nix is sitting at the new table to type out my blog so I shall like that, we can be next to each other. For our walk we went down by the airport and over the toll bridge and along the river and we were just getting to the end of our walk when our path was closed. Nix wasn’t amused as it meant having to walk all the way back when we were nearly home. She had the brain wave of taking a short cut through the new houses built on the river bank. She said if they could drive cars in there we must be able to get out that way. We did…eventually but only after having done a tour of the estate. To be honest it would have been quicker to have walked back the way we came 🙄 One good result was that we had to walk past Pets Corner, I’ve got Buffalo treats. I

Quiet Day Today…it’s Sunday 😇

Guess what, I got a prezzie yesterday. Well I say I got a prezzie, it did have my name on the envelope but really it was for Nix. Sally from the church came round and gave Nix a cheque to help with my medical bills which supposedly are quite expensive. It came from the St Francis Fund which is a charity within the church to help parishioners when they need it. I am insured of course but Nix has to pay 20% of my bills which can be a lot some months. It was perfect timing because I am due my flush next month, Nix cried a bit. Thank you to the St Francis Fund for thinking of us and Nix says she will be able to eat now. This is of course a huge exaggeration because as we all know, Nix gets plenty to eat including lemon drizzle 🙂 We had a lovely walk along the beach to church this morning and watched the kite surfers…it was quite windy and perfect weather for them. I was such a good boy in church because at one point the speakers made a horrible noise that sounded like thunder but I was v
