The Adventures of Fripp

 Guess what…we were walking round the block and who should come out of one of the houses…yes, the BCJ 👏👏👏We don’t know if he lives there or was visiting but it means he could be my near neighbour! Watch this space for many more incidents 😇  We walked up to the fort this morning and I had some croissant there. I also got a treat from Felix who is one of the family and helps out in the horse box. I think it would be more interesting if there were actually horses there, I should like that 😇 This afternoon we have been over the bridge to the Artisans Market and whilst that was very nice it was a bit crowded so Nix didn’t get too many photos of moi.  I did however have my photo taken a lot by other people. Nix did take some of the stalls, I know that’s not as interesting as moi but I’m afraid it will have to do until we go to the woods tomorrow and hopefully have some lemon drizzle cake 👏 I have posed for some photos with my toys just to keep you going… 😇

  Our new table arrived today and I’m pleased to say that it won’t affect the new position of my bed because as you know I prefer it in the corner. Nix says not to get too comfortable because once the table is put together it will be bigger than it looks but I feel quite confident that my bed won’t be moved. Nix has suggested I might like my bed under the table but I’m not too sure about that, I shall decide once the table has been assembled on Monday.  This afternoon we have had a meander down the river. We were both tired after our long day out yesterday at Devil’s Dyke so neither of us wanted to go too far today. I had a quick dip in the river and Nix put more petrol in the car on the way home. She said she didn’t really need it quite yet but she didn’t want to get left without any again. I suggested she might be panic buying and I could see from the look on her face she was not amused. I probably won’t go down that road again 🤭 Nix is getting her booster jab next week. Sh...

  Apparently I went too far this morning, literally much too far. It’s not my fault if there was something really interesting further along the beach and no I can’t remember what it was at this precise moment but it was very interesting. This is why I ignored Nix when she called me and went too far for her to be able to see me. Honestly you’d think I’d been gone for hours the state of her when I got back, she was really upset…I did feel a bit bad because I wouldn’t want to upset her but you know what she’s like 😇 Anyway it was definitely worth getting up for because the sky did look very pretty and was the perfect backdrop pour moi 🥰 I had my first bowl of food quite early. Nix has finally caught on that I don’t like swede so she cooked me some fresh meals without it, it was yummy. She put a bit of extra turkey mince in to tempt me and guess what, it had baby carrots in and I really liked them. As you know I always leave the carrot slices on the floor but not the baby ones, they ...

 Apparently I was very annoying during the night. I asked to go outside and Nix got out of bed and let me out thinking I was going to be sick. It’s not my fault if I wasn’t quite sure why I wanted to go out in the first place and just stood there...thinking. Eventually I went to sleep in one of my favourite places down by the bins or the ‘smelly old bins’ as Nix refers to them. I should have been happy to stay there all night but Nix said she didn’t want to go to sleep with all the doors open so I was ‘encouraged’ to come back inside. The encouragement consisted of a duck fillet strip so that was okay. I got comfortable on the new duvet and went fast to sleep…Nix didn’t 🤭 It’s been raining all day 😕 I managed to get Nix up for a walk on the beach first thing just before it started. She said she felt like a Zombie she was so tired, I’m not sure what one of those is but I don’t think it’s a good thing. I was offered breakfast when we got back but I wasn’t hungry and anyway I was ...

 Today has been a day of two halves really 😇 Nix had some frozen croissants delivered with her Sainsbury’s shop and she couldn’t wait to put two in the oven and sit down with a nice cup of tea.  When they were ready she put them on a plate on the coffee table to cool down and got a bit distracted looking on face book. I think I deserve a round of applause because I took one of those croissants from right under her nose and she never saw me. It was only when she went to eat one that she realised one was missing. I tried to look as innocent as possible but somehow I don’t think it worked. Can you believe she ate the one that was left and then put another two in the oven…that makes three…no wonder she’s got a big bottom 😇 We’ve been back to Hove this afternoon so I could revisit my wall. We met quite a few Brown Curly Jobs but I was impeccably behaved, I got on with all of them which just goes to show I am the innocent party in the ‘incidents’ 😇 Afterwards we walked past the c...

 Is it my fault if Nix forgets to give me my medication and I have a tiny bit of a leak overnight? Okay well maybe not so tiny but it’s still not my fault. Does it really take that long for a duvet to dry after you’ve washed it…most normal people would have two duvets surely for when this sort of thing happens.  You know that photo of me in the dried up dew pond yesterday, well it wasn’t quite as dried up as Nix thought. Last night it took her half an hour to clear the smelly mud from between two pad because it had set solid. She worked out that means fifteen more to do and so can you believe she just left it and I was forced into the sea today to soften it up and hopefully wash it away. I can tell you I very nearly got washed away myself.  I did get my photo taken on the way home on the weird bench so I hope you like it. Nix said to tell you I’m eating very well at the moment, I’ve had three meals already and I reckon I can fit two more in. That will be 1500 gms altogeth...

 So we got half way along the beach to church and Nix realised she’d left her mask behind so we had to walk all the way home. No time to walk back to church so we drove and I had to sit on the hard floors as my blankets were still drying after the fox incident the other day. Nix is glad she took the car as she was able to get some of Canon Tony’s potatoes that he’d grown on his allotment.  I have to say that Nix nearly had the whole church praying because we saw the lifeboat. Nix just assumed…wrongly…that someone was drowning. Turned out to be just a practise…Nix catastrophising as usual 🙄 I thought you might like to see me going forward with Nix for communion. I got her to do a screen grab from the online service but she didn’t want to post it because she said it made her bum look big 😇 She actually thinks her bum is smaller so if she asks, best to lie 🤣 This afternoon we’ve been to the Lancing Ring and I had a very good time and met lots of dogs.
