Bit of an Accident Last Night…Does it Really TakenThat Long for a Duvel to Dry 😱

 Is it my fault if Nix forgets to give me my medication and I have a tiny bit of a leak overnight? Okay well maybe not so tiny but it’s still not my fault. Does it really take that long for a duvet to dry after you’ve washed it…most normal people would have two duvets surely for when this sort of thing happens. 



You know that photo of me in the dried up dew pond yesterday, well it wasn’t quite as dried up as Nix thought. Last night it took her half an hour to clear the smelly mud from between two pad because it had set solid. She worked out that means fifteen more to do and so can you believe she just left it and I was forced into the sea today to soften it up and hopefully wash it away. I can tell you I very nearly got washed away myself. 





I did get my photo taken on the way home on the weird bench so I hope you like it. Nix said to tell you I’m eating very well at the moment, I’ve had three meals already and I reckon I can fit two more in. That will be 1500 gms altogether which is far too much but Nix says it’s because my kidneys don’t work properly that I can eat so much and remain slim. I think Nix is just a bit jealous 😇




It’s starting to rain now and Nix has a Zoom thingy tonight so not much more action here…I’m going to bed.

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
