The Adventures of Fripp

 I’ve had a very enjoyable day today and we’ve done lots of things. The sun was shining when we got to the beach early this morning and I bumped into my friend Ollie. He is brown and curly but I like him and he’s bigger than me anyway.  At lunchtime we headed for the hills, well Southwick Hill to be exact. I got told off for going in the farmer’s field, something to do with skylarks. It was very quiet there, Nix said all the humans were probably in the pubs and restaurants as the humans were allowed inside as of yesterday. We haven’t been inside yet but Nix said that tomorrow morning we can go and get breakfast and sit inside so I think that will be very nice. When we got home there was a present waiting for me. Nix thinks it was for her but there are drawings of moi so clearly it was meant for me.   Can you believe it’s still raining even when it’s not meant to be. We were going to Southwick Hill today but apparently it will be really muddy so we decided (Nix decided) to go to the beach instead. The sun came out as soon as we got there but we decided (Nix decided) to save our walk on the Hill until tomorrow when it will be sunny.  We went to check out the old toilet block which is going to get knocked down soon and we are going to have a very smart restaurant instead. Nix said I can have an ice cream every day (well I said I could have an ice cream every day) but we are also a little sad because we think there will be too many cars because everyone will want to come and visit. Nix thinks we might have to sign a petition but I’m thinking ice cream every day...I shall not be signing.  Nix also says it’s back to front because it’s not looking out to sea, she prefers the one we visited in Hove the other day. Nix went to actual church this morning and I stayed on my own. I was of course a very good boy and might I add very brave too. I didn’t panic at all, Nix told me she wouldn’t be long and I believed her. I even went to sleep on her bed while she was gone and didn’t hear her come home. When she pops to the local shop I am usually at the window waiting for her  but today I was nowhere to be see ...I was fast asleep in the bedroom...this made Nix very happy 😇 This afternoon we have been over the footbridge and into town. It’s been raining on and off and we didn’t want to get wet (Nix didn’t want to get wet) so we didn’t go too far. It wasn’t too boring I suppose, not as good as going to the woods but I did get to meet lots of dogs. Bit disappointed we didn’t bump into the brown curly job like last time. Nix took photos of me in town so you can see where we live. I prefer it to where we used to live because now we can walk to the beach and into the town.

 Nix delivered the assembled cake boxes this morning ready for them to be packed with afternoon teas to raise money for Christian Aid week.  They looked very yummy when they were finished, I wanted one. This afternoon we went for a walk with my friend Honey but it was quite wet and Nix complained a lot. I didn’t mind it, I quite like the rain.  Tomorrow we are going for a proper walk, rain or no rain, I am insisting and then next week we can go and see Rog again. Meanwhile we are taking it easy today. Nix promises to be more interesting tomorrow...

  Nix and I have been over to the hospice to see my dog father Rog. We had a walk along the beach there first so I could have my photo taken...Nix says it’s so I wouldn’t  want a wee when we got there. Rog was a bit poorly when we arrived but I washed his arm and his hand to make him feel better. We didn’t stay too  long as it was too tiring for him and now we’re home again. I’ve had a quick nap but my day is all out of order and I usually go out about now. I just came into the lounge to begin the ‘I want to go out now’ stare but Nix was fast asleep on the sofa watching Homes Under the Hammer 🙄 She’s a bit sad so I am going back to bed and I shall wait until teatime for my next walk...I don’t mind 🙂

  All our water went off yesterday and it still hadn’t come back on when we went to bed. Nix was panicking about me needing water for my kidney issues but the neighbours were great and they brought lots of bottles for moi. Nix says they were actually for her so I’m letting her believe that because as you know she doesn’t have much in the way of friends  🙂 We’re having one of those lazy hazy and not so crazy days of summer except Nix says it doesn’t much feel like it as it’s freezing. When we were walking along the river bank Nix stopped to chat with an elderly gentleman who told Nix he’d got his cap with him in case it rained. Nix commented on the fact that she was freezing and he said she should have worn an extra pair of bloomers 🤣🤣🤣 I thought that was hilarious but Nix probably not so much 🤣 Anyway we did our industrial walk this afternoon and I did get a bit of a run but to be honest the day has been a bit boring. Nix has things being delivered so we haven’t been able...

  Busy busy busy day starting with our beach walk where I met Freddie the Bichon. Haven’t seen him for ages, Nix says he’s a bit obsessed with me.   We’ve been back to Hove where we used to live to revisit my wall and check out the new restaurant on the beach. Nix likes it because you don’t have to do anything other than sit there and eat the food. You sit down at your table and order your lunch from the app thingy and then they bring it out to you. We met lots of old Hovian friends too and had a very good time.  The rest of the afternoon has been taken up with Nix trying to work out how to put cake boxes together.  Her church is making afternoon teas for Christian Aid Week and Nix agreed to assemble the boxes. She said it had to be better than posting the envelopes because people have very annoying letterboxes but she had to go on to YouTube to see how to assemble them 🤣 It took much longer than it needed to but she’s done them now so we can all relax...well I’m al...
