Lazy, Hazy and Not so Crazy...

 


All our water went off yesterday and it still hadn’t come back on when we went to bed. Nix was panicking about me needing water for my kidney issues but the neighbours were great and they brought lots of bottles for moi. Nix says they were actually for her so I’m letting her believe that because as you know she doesn’t have much in the way of friends  🙂




We’re having one of those lazy hazy and not so crazy days of summer except Nix says it doesn’t much feel like it as it’s freezing. When we were walking along the river bank Nix stopped to chat with an elderly gentleman who told Nix he’d got his cap with him in case it rained. Nix commented on the fact that she was freezing and he said she should have worn an extra pair of bloomers 🤣🤣🤣 I thought that was hilarious but Nix probably not so much 🤣



Anyway we did our industrial walk this afternoon and I did get a bit of a run but to be honest the day has been a bit boring. Nix has things being delivered so we haven’t been able to go too far and anyway it’s been too wet and too cold...says Nix. 




She has assembled all the cake boxes for Saturday, I was quite impressed really. I didn’t think there was anyway she would work out how to do it...thank goodness for YouTube 👏

It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
