Busy Day Today...



 I’ve had a very enjoyable day today and we’ve done lots of things. The sun was shining when we got to the beach early this morning and I bumped into my friend Ollie. He is brown and curly but I like him and he’s bigger than me anyway. 



At lunchtime we headed for the hills, well Southwick Hill to be exact. I got told off for going in the farmer’s field, something to do with skylarks. It was very quiet there, Nix said all the humans were probably in the pubs and restaurants as the humans were allowed inside as of yesterday. We haven’t been inside yet but Nix said that tomorrow morning we can go and get breakfast and sit inside so I think that will be very nice.




When we got home there was a present waiting for me. Nix thinks it was for her but there are drawings of moi so clearly it was meant for me. Thank you Melly Dolittle, you have made me look even more handsome than I actually am 🙂 Nix and I think you are very clever. 




In the afternoon we went to the DIY shop but Nix forgot to take photos 🙄 I saw my favourite assistant who I haven’t seen for over a year and he gave me lots of cuddles and so did lots of other people. Nix said it’s because the humans are allowed to hug now...no one hugged Nix 🤣


Can someone tell Nix to stop clearing her throat when she wakes up, I don’t like it 😕

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
