A Visit to the Old Toilet Block...

 


Can you believe it’s still raining even when it’s not meant to be. We were going to Southwick Hill today but apparently it will be really muddy so we decided (Nix decided) to go to the beach instead. The sun came out as soon as we got there but we decided (Nix decided) to save our walk on the Hill until tomorrow when it will be sunny. 




We went to check out the old toilet block which is going to get knocked down soon and we are going to have a very smart restaurant instead. Nix said I can have an ice cream every day (well I said I could have an ice cream every day) but we are also a little sad because we think there will be too many cars because everyone will want to come and visit. Nix thinks we might have to sign a petition but I’m thinking ice cream every day...I shall not be signing.  Nix also says it’s back to front because it’s not looking out to sea, she prefers the one we visited in Hove the other day. To be honest I don’t care which way it faces as long as they sell ice cream 🙂

It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
