We Collected An Angel Today šŸ˜‡

 


We had a drive up to Mill Lane in north Shoreham today because a family there hang knitted angels from a tree in their garden and they invite anyone to take one to hang on their Christmas tree. They don’t ask for any donation but Nix had a knitted crown from the King’s coronation so she took that up and hung it on their tree for them. It had a little tag on it and Nix said that it was a gift from Fripp šŸ™‚ 



There was a big box waiting for us when we got home and inside it was a lot of vet bed. The back of the car where I go is a bit scruffy now (after 13 years) and so Nix thought she would replace it all so I’m nice and comfortable. I can’t wait for it all to be laid and Nix is hoping that I might lie down a bit more because at the moment I just sit in the back of the car for sometimes quite a long time. 





For our main walk today we had a walk down the river so we wouldn’t get muddy as it’s really rained a lot. It was a bit windy but I don’t mind that, I quite like it. I did go down the hill to the river and Nix was worried I wouldn’t be able to get back up like last time. Thankfully we’d met up with Jonathan an old friend and he came down and helped me back up.






Nix has been looking for a new bed for me as one of the older ones is a bit useless because the zip has broken and it wasn’t a particularly nice one in the first place, it’s a bit flat. She was very disappointed when she went to the Dogs Bed company to see that they no longer have removable covers. They expect you to put the whole bed in the washing machine which is ridiculous so Nix has spent a long time trying to find a company who sells a donut bed with removable covers. She’s found this company which is British and they have some really lovely donut beds and they have removable covers. She’s ordered one in dark blue and it’s already been dispatched so hopefully it should be here before Christmas. Nix is sorry that when people asked where she got my beds from she did recommend the Dogs Bed comany not knowing they had stopped the removable covers. 



Shelle my groomer sent Nix a photo she took of me after I’d been groomed and she asked if my bum looked big in it šŸ¤£ Ha ha, it does look a bit big. Next thing Nix will be blaming her hairdresser for her big bum šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news ...

Apparently I’m Always in the Way

So Nix doesn’t understand why I am always behind her, she said it’s starting to annoy her apart from being very dangerous. She says if she falls over me and breaks her hip who’s going to look after me. Have you seen her hips, it’d take a sledgehammer to break one of those. Anyway she keeps saying there’s only one way out of the bungalow so I don’t need to follow her around everywhere. That’s not strictly true because there are doors at the back and a door at the side. She could escape without me through any of those...I must be vigilant at all times. So now she has settled down to finish getting my blog into print and it really is painful to watch. She says it takes twelve taps on the iPad to add one photograph on one day of the blog. She also says if there are thirty days in the month that will take her 360 taps.
