Preparing Me A New Bed In The Car š
So we’ve had quite a quiet day today. It’s been absolutely freezing with a really cold wind so Nix and I have been indoors since we got home from church. Nix did pop out to the car to take all my bedding out and now she has cut all the new vet bed to size. She has done loads of washes so all the old vet bed is nice and clean too. I was trying to get her to play with me but she said she was too busy š Tomorrow though Nix is going to remake my bed in the car so I will be really comfortable so it’s all been worth it š I need a comfy bed in the car because my joints can be a bit sore these days. I’m looking forward to settling down on it tomorrow when we go for a ride in the car.
This morning I got a present from Nicky my young friend at church, it’s like a walking stick. He’s been practising because he’s doing the narration at the children’s nativity play on Christmas Eve. We watched them rehearse, they are very good. We will be there as we’re doing the welcoming.
Nix has tried the old trick of hiding what I don’t want to eat in what I do love to eat. Remember when she used to try and sneak the carrots in with my meals. She never got the hint even though I left them all over the kitchen floor. She’s now trying to hide the truly awful kibble in my turkey. It does work if it’s soaked up the turkey juices but otherwise I don’t want to know, it’s like eating sawdust balls. The thing is Nix would never feed it to me for my entire life because she doesn’t like it and now suddenly she wants me to have it…I’ll never understand humans. Something to do with my kidneys I think š¤
I just managed to sneak in an extra walk before the last walk of the day. Nix really didn’t want to go out because it’s so cold but she was happy when she got out because Jupiter and Venus were both shining brightly. So what I don’t understand is it’s okay for Nix to stargaze but not okay for me. Nix says it’s a timing thing, something to do with me liking to stargaze in the middle of the night when she’d rather be asleep.
We just hung the knitted angel we collected yesterday on our Christmas tree š
