Lots Of Ideas 🙂

 So first of all, Nix and I would like to thank everyone for all your suggestions to help to make life easier for us. She doesn’t want people to think that we’re ungrateful because we definitely aren’t but she just wants to explain a couple of things. 

Lots of people suggested dog flaps which is a brilliant idea but there is just one problem. We only have one wooden door and that’s in the kitchen and then there’s quite a big step on the other side of it and I don’t think my back legs would manage it because they’re quite wobbly. Nix would be worried that I might fall during the night when she was asleep and not be able to get up so we decided against the dog flap. She has taken a photo of the step to help you understand. 

Another suggestion was that maybe I might like to sleep in the summerhouse but to be honest I’m not as keen on that bit of the garden, I like to be down the side return where there’s a light and I sleep on the paving stones and I like to dig. Nix would not be amused if I dug up the wooden floor of the summerhouse. Even if I did like sleeping in there, Nix would be a bit worried about leaving the door open. It’s not like a garden shed it’s like a living room in there and she’s worried in case it started raining in the night and ruined the furniture and she’s also worried about the squirrels getting in and chewing through the electric cables so that’s that idea out of the window. 

Another suggestion was a kennel which Nix loved the idea of. She almost sent off for this really nice one but then lots of people said they’d got kennels for their Beardies and they never went in them. I think I might go in this one as it’s very smart but I think Nix has changed her mind now plus it is a bit expensive. 

The camera idea is a definite go. She’s decided which one she’s getting and she will fix it in the garden so she can watch me from the house during the night to make sure that I’m okay. The camera swirls around so she will be able to see me wherever I decide to sleep. She says she might even be able to spot the intruder which is a bit worrying 🫢

This afternoon we have been to new place for a walk. It’s where the dead people live and it’s quite pretty but dogs have to be kept on their leads. I don’t mind that much because I don’t trot as much as I used to, quite happy to amble. Nix forgot her phone again so no photos but we might go back tomorrow if it’s not raining. 

 Nix has spoken with Bron and I am going to get my urine tested on Wednesday just to check that I don’t have a urine infection. Nix has to get the first one of the morning and we can’t do tomorrow so Wednesday it is. Bron says I have some fairly serious cognitive decline but I’m not really bothered, I feel fine and I’m very happy 🙂
