Lots To Do Today…



 Nix is typing out my blog now because a little bird tells me that she is going to leave me on my own while she visits a neighbour’s garden. They have just moved in and looking for a gardener so until they find one, Nix has offered to go in and  identify what some of the plants are and hopefully sort out the weeds from the chaff as it were 🙂



This morning we had a wander into town and who should be taking tea and cake but Jackie, Catherine and Indie. After we’d had our cakes we headed over for the art exhibition in the church but as we were a bit early we had a wander round the churchyard first. 





We hadn’t been back that long when we headed down to our church where a lovely chap called Terry was coming to help us with our donation machine which kept switching itself off. So far so good, we’re praying that it stays on. 





Nix is going to start me on some exercises that Sharon Prassa sent to strengthen my back legs.  We have to go the DIY shop tomorrow to get some bits of wood etc and then I’ll get started. Meanwhile Nix going to use a towel to support me as I get in and out of the car…I quite like the idea of that.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
