Jenny’s and Bramber Castle Today 🙂

 So on Tuesday we were meant to go to the Cissbury Ring and then we didn’t. On Wednesday we were meant to go to Highdown Hill and then we didn’t. I think Nix must’ve been feeling guilty today because she suddenly said let’s go to Bramber Castle. I thought to myself well I’ll believe that when I see it.




Before I get ahead of myself I should tell you that we went to visit Jenny in her new bungalow today and it was very very nice and seemed much bigger than last time we were there. She’s got lots of plans for it and it’s all very exciting. I think Nix wishes she was doing another doer upper because she enjoyed it so much. Anyway we had a cup of tea with Jenny, I dug the garden up when they weren’t looking and then we came home. 




We hadn’t been home long before Nix decided we could go and look at Bramber Castle as we’d never been there before. It’s very old and was built just after the Norman Conquest thingy so that’s very old. She checked the opening times and if dogs were allowed and off we went. I don’t know why they bother with opening times as there’s only one wall left 🤣🤣🤣 As Nix completely forgot to take photos of moi with Jenny I’m afraid she’s made up for it with lots of photos of Bramber. I’m not in many of them so feel free to scroll past 🤣 We met a very interesting man called Eddie who knew lots about the castle. He asked if he could say hello to me as he likes dogs. I of course was more than happy to say hello but I think he might be a doggy judge because he asked how old I was and then started feeling around my hips and he parted my fur to look at my skin. Nix thought he was looking for fleas 🤣 He thought I was in very good condition.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
