Widewater Lagoon Today

Apparently, I look really grumpy today in all the photographs. I must admit I was slightly annoyed that we went to the lagoon because I have to stay on my lead there because it’s a wildlife sanctuary. Nix always says that as I don’t go careering around like a lunatic these days it shouldn’t really make any difference to me but it does, I like to be free.

We’ve seen the shingle shifters twice today. They were on the beach this morning and then when we went to the lagoon this afternoon they were there again. It’s a good job Nix knows the highway code and I must admit it’s probably a good job that I was on the lead because they suddenly appeared from behind the beach huts, it was quite a shock. We got another shock when we saw how many swans there were on the lagoon, over 30.

Today Nix has made me some new custard cream balls and guess what? I ate all my medication in them again. I should’ve thought she would’ve got the hint when I stopped eating the other ones that they weren’t quite right. I think she left them out of the fridge too long when she made them and they tasted funny. The new ones are very yummy and I’ve had all my medication today in them so hopefully no more dire rears .

Nix is writing an article for the church magazine and I honestly think she thinks she’s quite funny. She keeps laughing as she’s writing, can’t think why. I think she should be paying more attention to typing out my blog which obviously is very funny indeed, because I am the author.

Nix is doing one of those webinar things this evening, something to do with technology. She won’t be able to understand any of it, I don’t know why she bothers. On top of that we’ll have the drama of positioning the iPad so that the view from behind her looks interesting. She used to have a photograph of the interior of the summer house as her backdrop but then everybody thought she lived in a shed so she stopped doing that.

Beth is coming tomorrow and then once we’ve dropped her off at the station, we’re going round to Kay‘s where Nix and Kay will be putting the final touches to the Church logbook…don’t ask!
