Edith Came To Look After Me This Afternoon 🙂



 So early morning start. I had my first antibiotic before we went out so Nix was happy. The sunrise was very pretty, I think it makes a very good background for my photos 🙂 I usually go straight to sleep for quite a few hours when we get back from our morning walk but I always know when it’s a Tuesday. On Tuesdays Nix and I go for communion but I got the feeling that she was going to try and leave me at home this morning. The excuse is that I am finding it a bit harder to get in the car and as it only lasts half an hour and I’d normally be asleep she could leave me at home. Well I’m sorry but that one’s never going to work. I know when it’s Tuesday and so I don’t go to sleep and then Nix has to take me because she won’t leave me if I’m awake. I have perfected the expression of hopelessness and it seems to work every time 🙂





This afternoon, I did get left but I did get a good walk on the beach first. Edith came to sit with me, she lives next door but one and she goes to St Mary’s church and she used to be the churchwarden there. It’s nice to have so many people in our street who all go to our churches. Anyway, Nix had a meeting that she didn’t really want to take me to because she thought it might be a bit crowded if it was held in a café. Edith told Nix that I did a couple of patrols of the bungalow while I waited for Nix to come home put apart from that I was asleep. I think Edith might have been asleep as well 😴





It’s been really warm and sunny today but tomorrow is going to be very misty and not so nice so I’m not sure where we shall go for our walks.  Nix needs to go to B&Q to buy a broom to sweep the yard and also to the tip to dump our old ironing board so I expect we’ll go to Buckingham Park as it’s nearby. 




I think I might have had a bit too much chicken liver pâté if you know what I mean 🫢🫣

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
