Quiet Day Today…Pour Moi 🙂



 We’ve had a day of taking it easy today…well when I say ‘we’ I probably mean me. I have slept quite a lot while Nix has been doing all the work. It was so warm when we went for our morning walk that Nix decided she was going to attack the church hall garden. We have been asking our congregation if anyone would like to take care of it but no offers. It did look like a job and a half so Nix thought she would go down and tidy it up so it didn’t look quite so daunting. Thankfully Kay turned up to help and between them they got rid of all the weeds and did lots of pruning. They will plant some new plants and then it will just need a weed every few weeks. Someone had planted some mint at some point and gardeners amongst you will know that you never plant mint in a garden. One of the roots that Nix got out was over 2 metres long. I slept in the car while they did their work, I was very comfortable and I could see Nix if I wanted to. 




This afternoon we have just been up the beach again, Nix didn’t want to get me in the car for a second time so we thought we’d just have a nice easy walk. We hadn’t been home very long when there was a knock on the door and it was a parcel pour moi! It is from Judith and there is a new toy and some treats. I haven’t played with the toy just yet as I’m still a bit tired so I’m saving it for later but I have tested out the treats, they are very tasty and they are heart shaped 💝 Thank you Judith, you are very kind and always sending me gifts…I think Nix is a bit jealous 🤣




Out footbridge is going to be closed on Tuesday so we won’t be able to walk into town. There will be a shuttle bus to take people into town so we might go on it just for fun. Hopefully it will only take the day to fix but I doubt it 🤔



Nix was horrified to find a massive spider in the flower bed. After much shrieking she realised it didn’t move much so thought it must be dead. She prodded it and guess what, turned out to be a plastic one 🤣🤣🤣

    I am glad the "spider" was not real as that would be terrible!! I am sure the church hall garden looks much better now that Nix and Kay have done their magic on it! Glad you got a nice easy walk. I hope the footbridge is ready for people to walk on very soon. Very cold here but not much snow at all - yet! I am not a fan of winter at all.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
