Very Hot…Very Quiet 😎



 It’s very hot today with no breeze but Nix has bought an artificial wind machine thingy which I like…a lot. 



My urine results have come through and they are pretty near perfect. I’m nice and acidic so that’s good so now not much to do until September. Bron referred to me as ‘the old boy’ so I shall have to have words.



When the Sainsbury’s man came today he looked very hot. They don’t have air con in their vans so it must have been horrible for him. As he was going back to his van he saw the water bowl we leave out for the dogs. Next to it is a large container full of water to top it up. He asked Nix if he could have some of the water and she was horrified and said no she would get him some fresh. She handed him over a large jug of fresh water and he emptied it all over his head 🫢 I wish we had a photo of that, he went away very happy and a bit cooler. 



Speaking of photos there aren’t really any of moi as we haven’t really been anywhere. I went to the grass verge for a wee and then we came back because the pavements were getting a bit hot. Nix was in the sea for ages, she said it was really lovely but the beach was very crowded which must have been weird, I prefer it to myself. 


I got two of my donut beds washed today so I’ll like that 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
