Visit From Linda Today And It’s Very Very hot 😎



 Well today the weather has been very weird. We were expecting it to be very hot and sunny but in fact it was quite cloudy and not that warm. We had a lovely cool morning walk along the boardwalk and although I did slow down a bit at the end I did enjoy myself. 




We were meeting Linda today and she very kindly offered to come to us as we thought it would have been too hot for me to walk over the bridge and back. Nix had a jam doughnut which I must say was rather nice and I’m not sure what Linda had but it was very tasty too 😋 



Nix forgot to take photos when Linda was here but she is coming tomorrow again for fish and chips so I shall make sure that Nix takes pics. Did you know that Nix has a ‘Kiddies’ meal now from the chip shop. It’s half the price and I still get my bits of fish and Nix gets a cold drink included so cod goujons it will be tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to that. Linda bought me a lovely pink toy but it’s a bit hot now the mist has cleared so I only played with it for a bit…I might have fallen asleep next to it. 




We walked back to the bridge with Linda but we didn’t go over it and now I’m off to the coolest place to sleep when it’s really hot. If there’s any breeze at all it comes under the gate and keeps me nice and cool. 



Nix thinks she might have bought too many sweet Pea plants as she doesn’t have enough vases to put them in. You’re meant to keep cutting them apparently but I think Nix forgot how many flowers you get on each plant. She says she’s going to have to use a jam jar for the next lot…that was Linda’s idea 👏🏼

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
