Nix’s Birthday Today 🐾🎉🐾🎁🐾🥳🐾

 


I am feeling so much better today and that’s before I even start the antibiotics. I can get in and out of the car really easily and I have more energy. 



I have a sneaking suspicion that Nix snuck off to lock up the church last night while I was asleep. I’m a bit annoyed because I’d like to have woken up and been looking pathetic when she got back but I was just a bit too tired. We did go for a little wander on the beach though which was very nice and when we got home we had a quick turn around and then headed off for our local pub. In the summer we are having a street party and lots of the residents of our street were meeting together to make plans for it. I enjoyed it last year so I am really looking forward to this year…hopefully there will be chicken again.






We woke up this morning on Nix’s birthday and it was pouring with rain. We still went for our walk but we did get very wet and went for communion too and got wet again. After that we drove over to Brighton to pick up my antibiotics and we got home just in time to go round to Jackie’s for some birthday lemon drizzle and a cup of tea. 






Nix has had lots of lovely birthday presents, mainly bags of Maltesers. Thank you to everyone who has wished her happy birthday, that made her very happy though she just had a look and there are over 200 messages for her yet to see so I think it might take her a while 🙂 





I’m thinking I may not need the buggy 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
