No Donkey Today 😕

We were very disappointed today because the donkey got cancelled. To be honest, it was a bit wet and drizzly and very windy so it wouldn’t have been very nice for him or us but hopefully he will come again at Easter and we’ll see him then. Nix will post a photo of John one of the donkeys from the farm, he’s the oldest donkey there and he was born in 1993, that’s really old, almost as old as Jesus. He might even have been ‘that’ donkey 🫢

When we opened our front door this morning, we could hear the waves crashing on the beach so we knew it was going to be very rough and windy. It wasn’t very pleasant and so we didn’t stay too long. We had a bit of a rest when we got home and then we headed into town to the pet shop to buy a present for Indie and who should we bump into on the way…Indie 🙂 Nix will post a photo of what we bought but Jackie and Catherine better make sure that Indie doesn’t see it before tomorrow. I managed to snatch a treat so Nix had to pay for it. It was very nice, I’ve eaten it all.

The trifle is finished and Nix remembered to include the raspberries this time. To be honest it looks a bit scruffy, but I think she’s still going to post a photo of it. She’s tried to disguise the scruffy bits with some coloured thingies. I suppose it doesn’t really matter what it looks like because I happen to know that it does taste very nice, well the creamy bit does.

We’ve just been round the block and it is still very wet and windy, not very nice at all. Tomorrow isn’t going to be much better so Nix will have to make sure I’m nice and dry before we go to Jackie’s. It will be very nice to spend time with good friends on Christmas Day, Nix and I think we were very lucky to come and live next door to the Bartrams 🙂

Nix and I hope you are all going to be doing something for Christmas Day. We spent Christmas Day on our own once when we were moving here and it wasn’t very nice. If you are on you own maybe you could go to a church service near you even if you don’t have a faith. They’re usually user friendly on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning and it’s good to have people to chat with. Happy Christmas everyone and see you all tomorrow 🙂
