Lovely Full Moon…



 I think life is rather good at the moment. Not too hot, not too wet…just right. For our last walk yesterday we went down the beach to look at the big moon…it was really very big. Nix said she felt like she could reach out and touch it. Lots of people were taking photos but not of moi…it was quite weird. 



We had a lovely walk on the beach again this morning because it was a very low tide. When the moon is big like it is at the moment Nix told me you get a lot more sand on the beach because the sea goes further out. I like it when it’s like that, much easier to walk on. We saw some horses and one naughty dog decided to chase them. He was fine at first and walked past them but after a few minutes he decided to go back after them. His owner called him back and eventually he came but instead of putting him on his lead for a while he left him and next thing he was back chasing the horses again. He did it three times, he’s lucky he didn’t get kicked.  






This afternoon we had a short walk to the Rec and through the little wood. We hadn’t been home long when the doorbell went and when Nix opened it there were two people standing there. Nix thought at first they were charity workers but they were actually Jehovah Witnesses. Nix was in her element of course, she loves a good debate. Ruth and Joe turned out to be very nice people and they all chatted together for quite a long time.  I’m thinking Nix probably came out on top seeing as how it’s her specialist subject 😉




Tomorrow we have a visit from Carol, one of my Facebook friends. Nix and I haven’t met Carol before as she lives in America but we are looking forward to meeting her tomorrow. We are going to go out and have lunch which means that Nix has been excused from the Ploughman’s lunch in the church hall. Nix isn’t really a Ploughman’s sort of person, I think she will prefer The Bridge 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
