Nix Has Been in the Sea Today 🫢

 


I stayed on my own for a bit this morning. Rita came round and she and Nix headed to the beach. It would have been far too hot for me so I was happy laying in the shade in the garden. They had a very good time in the sea because it was very warm apparently. I shall be testing it out tomorrow except that I think it might be raining. When they came back we all sat in the garden and they had tea and I had my smoked mackerel and it’s been a very nice day. 





Just now we all walked over the footbridge into town and we sat outside a café and Nix and Rita had a coffee, I had a bowl of water. Nix found me a lovely shady spot and there was a  man playing a saxophone which I enjoyed. There was a time when I would’ve been very scared of it, but to tell you the truth I didn’t really hear it that well.  Rita‘s husband Terry turned up and had a coffee with us, and then we all walked back across the churchyard.


I should warn you that there will probably be more pics of Nix than there will of moi. I don’t mind, it was her first time in the sea this year will probably be the last looking at the weather forecast.

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder. It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting.
