Wet and Windy Today 😕



 It is a very miserable day today, wet and windy and not very nice at all. We managed to miss the rain when we set out this morning but we got caught on the way back and we were both soaked. Nix put throws on each of my beds so I could choose whichever one I wanted as usual. When it stopped raining just before lunchtime we went out again because Nix thought we might not get a chance to do a proper walk. It was still very windy, I didn’t mind but Nix wasn’t keen. We’ve just been out again and it’s still the same so I have one walk left and I’m hoping it might be a bit calmer. Nix says the wind gives her a headache. 




I have been relaxing on Nix’s lap for quite a lot of the time today, that’s when she hasn’t been sorting out drawers. She has two empty drawers now but she only has to ask because I have lots of coats that would fit very nicely into them. 



So…we haven’t really done anything at all today and I’ve been sleeping for most of it. Tomorrow morning we might be in the vicarage garden if it doesn’t rain so that would be nice. Nix took my bed with us last week and put it down on the grass. Thing is when we got home Nix found that the mown grass had stuck to the bottom of my bed, it took her hours to get it all off. I don’t think she’ll be taking it again but I don’t mind, I quite like laying on the grass.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
