Busy Day Today 🙂




 Well we’ve had quite a busy day today so at least Nix hasn’t been bored. We had our Friday morning meditation but we had to have it in the church as it was quite wet out. We collected Sheila on the way and Nix took a nice photo of me with Sheila and Edith our next door but one neighbour. 



This afternoon we have been to Brooklands Park which is usually very nice but today it was very busy. The children are off school now and today was one of the nicest days so the they were all there. Lots of them are on scooters and they go too fast and nearly crash into me…I don’t much like them because I can’t hear them coming. 



After the park we paid a visit to Jenny and her new puppy Milo. He was really annoying but I only told him off the once. I’ve met him before when he was staying with his sister and I barked at them then and they both ran inside. Milo was much braver today and I quite liked him. In the end we were both a bit tired and so we both went to sleep. Can you believe the intruder must have followed me there because there was a big hole at the bottom of Jenny’s garden. She said she didn’t mind but Nix says she was just being polite 🫢




We have nothing at all planned for the weekend and I think it’s going to rain quite a lot so I see more drawers getting cleared out. I’m not sure where all this stuff is going, probably to the recycling centre which is good because then we can carry on to the park.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
