Summer’s Arrived 😎



 I’ve had a rather agreeable day today and it would be lovely to show you photos but Nix forgot her phone again. Luckily she took one on the beach this morning and we’ve been for a jaunt into town this afternoon so she took a couple there. It was like a summer’s day, all the cafés were full and everyone seemed to be in a very happy mood. Nix met lots of friends on the way so all in all a very nice day.




We don’t have photos of our lunchtime walk and that’s a shame because we went to Southwick Hill. The Rapeseed is very tall now, I can’t see over the top of it and I’m not allowed to go too close to it because it’s poisonous for dogs. Nix thinks the farmer put it there on purpose to keep all the dogs away because there are a lot. It’s very popular for the dog walkers and they often let their dogs run across the crops which I’m not allowed to do even if it’s not poisonous. 



I slept in Nix’s room again last night and I only woke up once…to be sick. I’m afraid I managed to get it on my bed so Nix was having to clean up at 3am in the morning. She said she didn’t mind, she was just glad that she’d stopped coughing and I’d spent the night with her 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
