Beth Came to Visit and then We We Went to Buckingham Park 🫢



Today was the last of our busy days so I’m preparing to relax…quite a lot. When I say relax I was meaning for the rest of today, as of tomorrow I’m expecting good long walks possibly to the Bluebird Café. I like it there because there are lots of dogs to meet on the way and they have huge iced buns which are always too much for Nix so I get quite a bit of them. 



Beth came to visit today and she and Nix had a bit of a hair day…I slept throughout but guess what? After Nix dropped. Beth off at the station, guess where we went…Buckingham Park 🙂We decided it was ridiculous not to go there just because the BCJ lives near there now. Nix reckons she’ll always see him before I do but I’m not so sure. I can take off down that park at quite a rate and Nix can’t keep up. She calls me but of course I can’t hear her any longer 😉 





With regard to my ‘deafness’ Nix is looking at collars that vibrate but she hasn’t found the right one yet. They sell some that are meant to help stop dogs barking but she doesn’t like those so looking for something else. If anyone has any ideas she’d love to hear them…me not so much 😉 She’s done the training course, it involves lots of treats so I’m looking forward to that. If we can’t find the right collar I might have to stay on my lead for some of the time because it could be dangerous for me when I go trotting off.    



I had a good old roll in the park this afternoon…I don’t smell so good apparently 🤔

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
