We’ve Got A Donkey Coming To Church 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 


I am very excited, guess what? On Sunday 2nd April we have a donkey coming to church. I dont expect he will actually come into the church like moi but he is joining our Palm Sunday procession. He is coming from East Clayton farm and I hope I shall be able to meet him because I really like donkeys. Nix will have to ask his human first of course but I’m really hoping they say yes. After the procession we are all going to have lunch in the church hall but I expect the donkey will have to go home as I’m not sure there will be room for him in the hall. We might be getting Leo, he’s 22 years old but there are lots of donkeys at the farm some of them looking for homes. I wish we could have one but Nix says we don’t have room.



We haven’t been anywhere in the car today as Nix has been a bit busy. She has her last lent course this evening and Rita will be sitting with me so that will be good…I usually go to sleep 😴



We’ve been down to the beach again this afternoon as the sun came out and it was quite warm. I still wore my coat though until my own coat grows a bit more. When we got back I played with my new toy which is apparently a sloth not a monkey…who knew 🤔




When we were walking back from the beach this morning we noticed someone had a bus in their front garden, they could get rid of that and then they’d have room for a donkey 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
