We Had A Seal On The Beach Today

 


We had a seal on the beach today. We didn’t see it but someone took a photo of it warning everyone to keep away and keep their dogs away. I’d have liked to have seen it because I think we would get on. Let’s face it you can’t really knock a seal over because they don’t have any proper legs. I think I should like to be friends with it, I wouldn’t have been allowed to say hello though. 



Nix is feeling guilty because she never wants to play with me with the toys when we get back from a walk. All she wants to do is sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit but I am never tired and want to have a game. Something has changed since she watched Coronation Street last night where Cerberus the greyhound had to be put to sleep. She cried a lot which is a bit silly really because Corrie is only a soap opera and Ciberus is still with us. Anyway she decided she needed to spend more time playing with me so it’s a win win 🙂 




We’ve had three walks so far today because I was being annoying apparently. We’ve been to the river and walked through the little wood. There are a lot of roots sticking up and I’m always impressed that Nix manages to get from one end to the other without falling over. We then went to look at the high tide on the beach and to see if we could see the seal but he wasn’t there. I expect he’s gone back to sea by now.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
