Three Cornered Copse Today 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 Why is Nix’s life so complicated? On 6th December 2022 Ginny Tennyson in the US messaged to say that she would really like to buy me the yellow coat that I had admired. She wasn’t having much success with Amazon and didn’t want to use PayPal so it was decided that she would pay the money into Nix’s bank account. That didn’t work so well either so she decided she would send a money order instead. So Nix went ahead and ordered the yellow coat and you have seen me wear it many times. 



The money order finally arrived and got put on one side until Nix could get to the local post office. Once she got there she was told they couldn’t cash it and she had to go to the main post office. This means having to leave me on my own so it was a week or so until she got there. They told her they couldn’t cash it either and that she had to go to a bank. A few days later Nix and I headed into town to the only bank we have left but they wouldn’t change it either and told Nix that she had to go to her own bank which is twenty minutes away. It was a week or so until we were near there and Nix went in only to be told that they couldn’t cash it either and she had to find a Western Union office. 




There are only two Western Unions and they are a long way away so it was decided that Ginny would send cash instead.  Nix sent the money order back to Ginny in the States and finally the 50 US dollar bill arrived. Nix took it to the local post office and they wouldn’t change it and told her to go to the main post office. They wouldn’t do it either and sent Nix to the bank and guess what, they would change it but they needed Nix’s bank card which she didn’t have.  



So, meanwhile Ginny discovers that she can’t get a refund on the money order and so is sending it back to Nix to change it whenever she can. Nix had already decided to send the 50 US dollar bill back to America but Ginny has  very kindly insisted she keep it so I see a new bed on the horizon 🙂



If you haven’t lost the will to live you might like to know that we went to prayer and meditation this morning and the Three Cornered Copse this afternoon… 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
