Rita Day Today 🤣



 We’ve been busy today so we’re very late…sorry.



This morning was very misty, we could hear the fog horns out at sea. It was a bit drizzly too so not very nice but I did find two balls. One was a bit yellow and metallic and it didn’t want to come with me, it had chains and things. I then found a rather nice tennis ball which was very pale. I think it had been over to France and back a few times. I was going to bring it home with me but I put it down to have a wee and forgot to pick it up again. 



We walked into town at lunchtime so Nix could go to the bank to change the 50 dollar bill. Remember the other day they told her they could put it into her account but she didn’t have her bank card. Well…we went back today with the bank card but that wasn’t any good either because it was a different bank. Looks like I won’t be getting my new bed any time soon though she is now looking for a bureau de change…that’s French 🙂




This afternoon Rita has been to visit and then we went with her to the pub to meet up with her husband. I had to make sure Nix didn’t get anything alcoholic because let’s face it, she has a job staying on two feet when she hasn’t been drinking 🤣



After that we went for a walk down by the houseboats and now we’re home so it’s been quite a long day. I’m leaving Nix in charge of the blog and going for a kip…Bon nuit 😴

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
