We Went To MCDonalds Today And Buckingham Park Café 😋

 


Well we’ve had quite a busy day today even though it’s been very windy and a bit cold. Nix overslept this morning which is very unlike her. She woke up twenty minutes before the alarm went off so she decided to switch it off, she then went straight back to sleep again. We did make it to church in time and it actually seemed much warmer than normal so I didn’t get in my bed straight away. After about 20 minutes of laying on the floor the old joints got a bit sore so I quietly moved over into my bed and I slept soundly there. Nix had taken the Vanish with us to continue to clean the coffee stain on the carpet where have coffee and I think she is very pleased with the result. She probably needs to get a life 🤣



This afternoon we gave one of our friends a lift to hospital and Nix decided to treat herself to a Filet of Fish from McDonald’s while we waited for her. We haven’t been to that place since we moved here almost five years ago because Nix was scared she’d be there every day as it’s just round the corner. She felt she needed a complete break so we just never went back. The Filet was very nice…apparently but the queue was ridiculous. It took a long time to get served but Nix thought it was worth the wait as it was very yummy. I had some chips 😋




After we picked up our friend from the hospital we went to Buckingham park for tea and cake. Sadly there was no lemon drizzle but I did get treats and quite a few cuddles from passers-by and the owner of the café. 




We are home now and Nix is going to take me for my last walk of the day later than usual to see how long we can lay in in the morning. It’s never going to work, I don’t mind the odd half hour but that’s about it. I can guarantee we’ll be out before 9am  🙂


Nix washed her hair last night and combed it backwards a la Dawn French and realised it was completely white. I don’t think that hairstyle will be seeing the light of day anytime soon so I’ll put the photo on here 🤣🤣🤣

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
