Mill Hill To Avoid The Mud 🙂

 It’s been very cold today and I even wore Judith’s blue jumper in bed last night. Nix doesn’t like the heating on at night because she gets too hot but now I don’t sleep on her bed I need something to keep me warm. My blue jumper is perfect and I was very snug…Nix will take a photo tonight.




We went up to Mill Hill today because Nix thought there would be less mud than if we walked on lower ground. That worked really well except the car park was covered in this weird white mud. It felt a bit like cement and I thought my toes were going to stick together. We think it had something to do with it being chalk. 



Nix has supposedly been catching up on TV programmes this afternoon and also The Archers. I think she’s actually been asleep for most of the time because every time I popped my head round the corner she was very quiet. She did iron the tablecloths for the café tomorrow but she’s not done a lot else. She says she likes being retired, she can do what she wants. Well I beg to differ there because actually she can’t, she has to do what I want to do, I am very demanding apparently 🙄





We have just been round the block, had a quick check to see if the BCJ has gone yet…no luck, looks like they’re stilll there. Nix says we can have a party when they move away.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
