Nix is an Invalid Today, Her Flu Jab Has Really Hurt Her Arm.

 I actually feel sorry for Nix today, her arm is really bad where she had the flu injection. She said it felt like she’d dislocated her shoulder and she couldn’t get undressed last night because she couldn’t lift her arm. She was in and out of bed all night, very annoying and so this morning we watched the church service on facebook. There was no way I was taking her to church unwashed and wearing the same clothes as yesterday. God wouldn’t have minded of course but you do have to give a bit of a thought to the congregation. We also got soaking wet on our first walk so we just rested up. The rain stopped by the end of the service so we did go round for coffee afterwards just to see our friends. 



Nix is washing all my bed covers today so I am sleeping in my new bed for now. I think they were a bit grim and Nix felt bad for not washing them sooner. Anyway they’re all done and they’ll be dry by tomorrow and I’ll have all my beds back.



Tomorrow is Halloween which Nix and I don’t celebrate but it doesn’t mean there won’t be fireworks in someone’s garden. My thunder shirt is at the ready so I’m sure I’ll be okay. They only knock on your door if you put a pumpkin out so hopefully we’ll get a peaceful night. 



This afternoon Nix’s arm is much better but she is making soup for herself anyway because she said she feels like an invalid 🙄

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
