Pets Corner and Looking for Tripe 🤢

 


We had a lovely evening last night as it was low tide around sunset. It was a bit cloudy but didn’t rain so we walked quite a long way. I’m allowed off my lead up there because we’ve never seen the BCJ that far west. 




This morning after our walk to the fort we headed into town to Pets Corner to look for tripe. They had a big bag which was quite heavy apparently and Nix said even though it was in a plastic bag she could smell it all the way home and it was disgusting. She tried me with a bit straight from the bag and I ate a couple of mouthfuls but didn’t want any more. Nix thinks maybe when it’s defrosted I might be a bit more keen…🤔 At the moment she is making up my dinners with slightly fewer veggies and a more expensive turkey mince and we’ll see how I like that. I don’t think I’m going to like the tripe even when it’s defrosted. 



This afternoon we have been to Cuckoo Corner for a walk up the river. There were two swans and I really wanted to say hello to them but I wasn’t allowed and also we had to turn around half way because Nix refused to walk through the water 🙄 I did have a good time but it would have been more fun if I’d been on my own 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
