The Intruder is Back 🫢



 We’ve had a very relaxing day today. That wouldn’t have been my choice but Nix said she was tired. It might have had something to do with last night. I think she was awake first in the early hours and then she woke me up. Then I wanted to go out and Nix didn’t want another wee incident in the kitchen so she let me out. It was dark so she couldn’t see where I was and so she fell asleep listening out for the intruder. I came in eventually and we both went to sleep. We slept in late as we were both tired but we did walk to church so I got plenty of exercise. 



After church we went for tea and biscuits, my favourite time on a Sunday and then we walked home again along the beach. I had my lunch and went to bed and Nix went out to the garden to hang out the washing. You’ll never guess what…that flippin intruder had been in the garden and dug up the plants. He must have done it last night while I was sleeping out there and more to the point when Nix was sleeping. She really does need to pay more attention and stay alert. She can’t go falling asleep in the middle of the night when the intruder is around. 




Her new perfume has arrived and she is very excited. As soon as she opened it and sprayed some on she said it whisked her back to her glamorous days…that was obviously before I knew her 🤣 No need to tell her she is still glamorous, best she knows her place 🙂



I had a little nap on Nix’s bed yesterday, bit of an effort to get up there but can never resist freshly laundered sheets.  I shall be back in any one of my four beds from now on, I prefer to sleep in them 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
