My Platelets Have Gone Down Again 😕

 Today has been a lovely relaxing day, I even fell asleep in church. When I woke up Bollo was across the aisle but I was very brave and only moved back a meter or so 🙂 We were ages in the church hall afterwards having tea and biscuits, I really don’t know what everyone finds to talk about. Afterwards we walked home and it was just like summer. 




I know Nix is worried about my platelets because they’ve gone down again. Bron my vet called Nix when we were on our way to church to tell her. I don’t have to start on the steroids yet thank goodness but I have to have another test in two weeks and if they’ve gone down again I guess I’ll be diagnosed with autoimmune thrombocytopenia like last time. I didn’t like taking the steroids because they made me very tired and I was younger then. I also lost a lot of hair especially from my tail which was a bit of a disaster. That was almost five years ago, can’t have that again. For those who are interested (that’ll be all of you 🙂) my platelets should be between 148-484. When I was tested at the end of last year I had 300 which was very good. When I had my flush done on 8th April this year they always test my blood and they were down to 106. I went back to have them tested last Friday and now they are only 89😕 I’ll ask Nix to post a photo of me last time. 



Nix has been in the garden washing the windows in the summerhouse and staring at the blue paint. One minute she thinks it’s okay and the next minute she hates it. She spends hours looking at it in different weather conditions but the bottom line is that if it was the right colour she’d like it whether it was sunny or not. I feel another visit to the decorating shop coming on 🤣

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
