Nix is Lying Down in a Darkened Room…

 Nix is lying down in a darkened room and has left me to press ‘Post’ with one of my paws…the day has been just a bit stressful I think 🤔



My turkey mince didn’t arrive this morning and to add insult to injury they’d charged Nix a delivery fee when she had paid in advance. It did arrive eventually, over an hour late but Nix got a £25 voucher as a gesture of goodwill thingy so I am hoping that she will buy me a new bed for the bedroom 🙂 This may not happen as apparently I made the wait for the turkey mince a million times worse by sitting there and staring with my ‘I want to go out now’ look 😇



We drove to the river walk at lunchtime. It’s only the second time Nix has driven since the eye surgery so she was a little nervous. It isn’t very far and we had a lovely walk so it was all worth it. 




When we got home Nix snuck out without me to the chemist to collect her eye drops. She had ordered them from the doctor last week as the hospital hadn’t given her enough…she says. It’s probably something to do with the fact that most of it went down her face for the first few attempts. Anyway the chemist didn’t have the prescription and Nix couldn’t get through to the doctors or to the hospital and she was panicking. She has to put the drops in four times a day so they are very important. In the end she took a taxi to the hospital and they gave her some more. 



As I say she’s home now and lying down…I can’t see me getting another walk just yet so I might join her 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
