All is Well With the World…



 Nix is out of the darkened room and all is well. I knew the one thing that would cheer her up was if I slept on her bed again. Thing is she’d already brought my day bed into the bedroom so I wouldn’t have to sleep on the bedroom floor. I quite like sleeping on the floor but Nix’s bed is more comfy so that’s where I spent the night. Nix was very happy, she likes it when I sleep on the bed at night and I like it too, but not when she coughs. So, my day bed is back in the lounge now and all is well with the world though I might sleep on the floor again. 



Have to say I’m not too happy about Nix’s improved eyesight. She saw Otto the Labrador before I did this morning and I hadn’t even noticed there was a dog ahead of us. This does not bode well for the future. This afternoon I was certain I could see the BCJ ahead of us. I went all rigid in preparation for a scrap but turned out not to be the BCJ. Nix will try and tell you it was a woman with a shopping trolley but I can assure you it was definitely a dog.



Nix has been talking to the insurance company and it looks like she might get a new sofa because the one that’s in there is soaked right through. This is a good thing because as you know I do like to sleep on that sofa in the summer.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
