Only One More Sleep šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

It’s Christmas Eve so only one more sleep until I get all my presents, well the ones I haven’t accidentally opened already šŸ¤£ Nix and I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and hope that the new year to come will bring you everything you need. Did you know I shall be twelve next year. When I was 7 a rather horrible ‘specialist’ vet told Nix I would probably only be around for 2-3 more years...how wrong was she. At the time humans were tipping buckets of ice over their own heads, very strange behaviour but all in a good cause I understand. Nix promised that when I make it to 14 she is going to tip a bucket of iced water over that vet’s head…that will be funny šŸ¤£

We’ve been back to Hove today to collect Nix’s parcel. This was not a good experience and there has been a lot of arrggghhhs! We must not forget of course that this is all Nix‘s own fault. If she had concentrated when she ordered then she would’ve noticed that they had our old address. Nix got a text this morning to say it was finally waiting at the post office in Hove but when we got there it wasn’t there.

We then drove up to the sorting office and after about ten minutes he asked Nix to read out the tracking number. Nix’s glasses had steamed up because of the mask so that wasn’t easy. He then told us it was still there but when he went to find it he said it wasn’t there any longer and had gone to the post office. Nix explained that she’d already been to the post office and do you know what he said to her? He said, “ Well I can’t help you then darling!” I think I’m rather glad that I had been left in the car because I should imagine what followed was not for delicate ears like mine. We did go to Hove Park, I made a run for the cafe where there were sausage sandwiches aplenty. I very nearly got one and would have if the child had stopped screaming. Anyway I had a lovely walk and now we’re home again minus the parcel.

Yesterday morning they found an abandoned inflatable boat on our beach. There were over thirty life jackets and some clothes left behind. Nix told me that the people on board had come from my homeland of France. We think they must have landed safely and left all their stuff in the boat. We are praying that they are safe and will be able to find a safe home here.
