Nix is Better 👏👏👏

 


Guess what…Nix did not cough at all last night 👏👏👏 She had been warming the summerhouse up all day with a radiator and then I didn’t need it. She did cough this morning but I didn’t mind that because she had slept until nearly 7am and then we went out just in time to catch the sunrise. 



Today I have been a very lucky boy and Nix has been a very lucky girl. I got a present from Judith (Ness Keweb) which I was allowed to open because I was so excited when it arrived. I believe it to be a fox though I have only ever seen one in the dark so I’m not too sure. Nix got a present too from Judith of a Beardie to hang on the Christmas tree…it has my name on it of course 🙂 Nix also got a very generous Sainsbury’s voucher from Max Smothers and his mum Jeanette. Nix is eyeing up a pair of slippers but I am expecting it to be spent on turkey mince for moi 😇 Thank you all for making Nix and me very happy 😇







Actually Nix was in such a good mood and feeling so much better that I got to go to Southwick Hill. She forgot my coat and my hair slide…good job God never have her any real children. It wasn’t really that cold and my fridge isn’t really that long so it wasn’t too bad, I had a really good time. 





We’re home now and Nix has treated herself to a bag of Cadbury’s Caramel Nibbles.  She has now nibbled her way though most of them 🙄

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
