Miserable Old Day Today but We Still Had Fun



 We had a very good night last night, I wasn’t woken up once by Nix. I was a bit hot though because she has this electric blanket thingy to keep her feet warm. It’s not my fault if I like to lie with my head down at the bottom which is the bit that gets quite hot. Nix often falls asleep with it on, well most nights actually because she does suffer with cold feet, dreadful circulation 🥶 I end up having to get off the bed and sleep on the floor because I’m too hot. Nix says I should just move nearer to the top of the bed which is cool but then I take my life in my hands because Nix is a very restless sleeper and those elbows can do a lot of damage if you’re too close 🤣 We’re definitely not compatible sleepers 🙄



We’ve been to the beach a couple of times today. Nix says it’s too miserable to go far so we spent a happy half hour watching the human nutters trying to get out to sea and balance on their boards. The tide was coming in, there were quite a few failures…




While I think about it, can someone please tell Nix to try and remember that the dishwasher at a certain point sounds exactly the same as when I dig the bed up. It’s bad enough having her yelling at me when I’m awake and actually digging but it’s not funny when I’m fast asleep and minding my own business. 


I think we should end the blog while we’re still ahead. Nix has fallen asleep three times while typing it so we’ll send it off now, hope you enjoy.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
