We’ve Got a New Parasol…



 Honestly Nix only has to sit on the sofa in the afternoons and that’s it, she’s out for the count. This my friends accounts for the tardiness of my blog. She’ll say it’s because she’s walked so far with me but that’s not really true today because it’s too hot and we haven’t been that far.  When I say we haven’t been that far I suppose we have had lots of little walks which do mount up I suppose. First walk of the day was my favourite because I found a yummy piece of fish. 




Speaking of being hot Nix has bought a parasol for the garden. It was a bit nerve wracking watching her trying to put it together because it is quite heavy and there were very nearly consequences. You have to give Nix her due, she’s a tryer but she really does have to stop saying, “Yes…who needs a man…” every time she completes a task! She will say she’s bought it for moi of course but that’s not entirely true. Granted I do like to be comfortable when I sleep in the garden and true, there were no shady places for me but we all know who’s going to be sitting under it with a glass of Prosecco don’t we. 



This morning we headed over to meet Debbie and Scruff at the woods.  Pity the arrangement was for tomorrow 🙄

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
