Busy Busy Day Today

 


Busy busy day today! I like it when Nix has an early morning Zoom thingy because I only get a quick walk and I know she feels guilty. As soon as the Zoom thingy finishes it’s easy peasy to get her out on a really decent walk. Today we had the woods, the recreation ground, the beach and a stop off at the Doughnut Hut. 



I met quite a few new friends in the wood and we met a lady who had four dogs. She left her poo bags in the car so it’s a good job I always place mine out of reach so Nix had plenty of spare ones. 





Nix said it was chaos on the walk and I was quite badly behaved. It wasn’t my fault, I didn’t start it, it was one of hers. It mounted some dog and didn’t get told off so I thought it was worth a chance to mount the one of hers who had done the mounting, sort of putting it in its place. It didn’t mind, just stood there growling 🤣 I got hauled off and I was quite good for a while but then I just couldn’t resist mounting the big brown dog. Unfortunately she fell over and I landed on top of her and when I got up the big black dog jumped on me and I fell over again...I had such a good time 🤣




Afterwards we all went to the beach but the lemon drizzle lady wasn’t there 😱  To make up for it we stopped for doughnuts on the way home and now Nix has eaten too many and feels sick 🤮🤣

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder. It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting.
