Another Gloomy Day

 


Another gloomy day on the beach this morning. We didn’t go too far, it was a bit miserable so we came home and played games in the house. Nix calls it training but I’m not sure whether giving me a treat when I jump on top of her would be considered ‘training’ by most. I’m not complaining you understand but it’s no surprise is it that I go off the rails every now and again. 




Nix has discovered she can get the ITV Hub thingy on her TV and she’s watched the entire series of something called The Bay. It’s finally finished and she still hasn’t a clue what’s been going on and who did what...she seemed to enjoy it though 🙂 She’s having a Zoom tea and cakes thingy later on so may as well make myself nice and comfortable in the spare room which is my favourite place to sleep during the day. 





Nix has just booked our tickets to Mars in 2026...I’m really looking forward to that. We don’t actually go to Mars of course, just our names. I get one billion air miles because it’s so far away... Nix is turning all her air miles into a new laptop or maybe a telescope...she’s very excited about that, I should have preferred a new bed.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
