Stay Safe, Love Grandma 🙂

 So not much happening on the beach this morning. I ate half a dead fish but that’s about it. I did try to steal the ‘Stay safe, love Grandma’ stuffed toy but I received a threat which is unrepeatable here so decided to leave it on the bench for “others to enjoy” 🙄




We went up to Southwick Hill this afternoon. There were a lot of humans without dogs up there apparently ‘exercising’ hmm... Nix says some humans have gone a bit mad since the virus thingy and do things they wouldn’t normally do like coming on our dog walks. One little girl who didn’t have a dog must have been very scared because when a tiny dog walked up to her she screamed...really really loud, we could hear it right at the top of the hill. 




When we got back Nix decided to watch an opera on her iPad. She was wearing her headphones so it was the perfect opportunity to dig the bed up in the spare room without her being able to hear. She’s taken a photo to shame me but I just think others will be impressed. She lost her subtitles in the middle of the opera and whilst trying to retrieve them by jabbing at the iPad screen she inadvertently FaceTimed her best friend’s husband... neither of them knew who had called who 🤣🤣🤣





We’ve just got back from a quick wee break round the block. I was sad to see the rabbit and the moving shell have gone to their new home. I shall miss annoying them...

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
