Too Windy To Go Out Much…

 


It’s been a horrible day today, very very windy and Nix and I nearly got blown over when we tried to go out. Consequently, I haven’t really had much exercise today. I have been sleeping a lot which I do like, but I haven’t eaten anything at all so far today so Nix is a bit worried of course. I might eat something a bit later, sometimes I do do that but I’m enjoying sleeping today. Nix says the wind will stop tomorrow and then we can go out again. We don’t mind getting wet but we don’t like being blown over. 




Nix had the Zoom call this morning with the police. The policeman, Dave he was called, was very nice and said that they could take him to court but obviously Nix didn’t want that. She asked if they would contact him and tell him it’s not acceptable to follow a lady home. He said he was happy to do that but he did wonder whether it might cause him to come round here ranting and raving. He has suggested instead that they put a marker on my name and address so if ever there is a problem or a 999 call is made from here, they’ll have all his details to hand. It’s a difficult one really so Nix wasn’t really quite sure what to do but for the moment we’ve left it. Obviously, if he should turn up, then the police would take it further.




We haven’t done much today so there aren’t any really interesting photos but Nix will post what we have. You’ll probably see how rough the sea is and how windy it is and it isn’t really very safe to go out.




Out of interest, a lady called Faye Shippam who lives at Widewater Lagoon took a really lovely photo of some of the swans last night when there was that lovely sky…you know, the one we missed!

Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England. Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet.
