Nix Got Her Hair Cut And New Earrings…



 Nix made some new custard creams balls yesterday and I had my Reconcile last night. Today I’m not so keen so we won’t bother now. Nix worked out that I have to have 19 doses each day. My antibiotic has to be quartered and taken three times a day so that’s 12. My Reconcile is halved once a day. My Aktivait is halved at least once a day and I have three doses a day of paracetamol. It’s a wonder I don’t rattle!




Nix has been to the hairdressers today and Barney came to sit with me. That was very nice though I did sleep for the whole time. She did leave quite early because the market is on in Worthing where the hairdresser is but she got there very quickly and there were loads of parking spaces. This gave Nix the time to go into the jewellers and find the perfect pair of earrings. This was only possible thanks to Carol Williamson because she sent Nix a Christmas gift. You need to know Carol that Nix is beyond happy, she’s flicking her hair around so you can see the earrings…actually they are very nice and they are pre-loved so that’s a good thing I think.  



When Nix got home she took me into town. I have a feeling she would have preferred the shorter walk but I like going over the bridge, there are lots of smells and I love it in the churchyard. We’re home now and I’m having a nap before my last walk of the day round the block.

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
