Brooklands Park Today…

 Look, there’s only so much mozzarella a chap can eat and I have eaten enough. I’ve decided I don’t like it any longer so Nix has had to resort to the final things on the very extensive list. Milky Ways were the first thing to go, a little too sweet for my liking. Don’t worry, they weren’t wasted…Nix ate them, surprise surprise. Next came the Brie…yuck, that’s in the bin, I did not like it. We have the cheese ball thingies being deIivered tomorrow along with the Vivi treats…’making medicines easy’ 🤣 We’ll see! 

Nix has been washing a couple of my beds today, they are drying on the radiator. I love having a clean bed to get into. Nix says it’s the same when she changes her bed sheets 🙂

We had a wander along the boardwalk this morning. We didn’t see one person who we knew except for Oliver the Labrador. He’s a bit too bouncy for me these days though in my day I’d have sorted him out 😉 We do seem to be going out later and later these days. I can’t believe we used to meet Paul and Bear at 7am! I don’t really want to get up that early any longer. It’s very tiring having to wake Nix up three times a night to go out in the garden. She could save herself and me all that trouble if she just left the door open all night. 

This afternoon we have been to Brooklands Park, definitely worth having to get in the car as there were lots of dogs to meet and some very interesting smells. It was sunny one minute and black skies the next but it didn’t rain. I did try to make a run for the stinky old pond but rather annoyingly, Nix is just a bit faster than I am these days. 

Nix just found out something very interesting. You know my back legs are very wobbly and Nix put it down to my arthritis or me having my ball joint removed when I was quite young. Well she has now discovered that it can actually be to do with my kidney disease. Apparently that can make your back legs wobble a bit…who knew 🙂
