Another Quiet Day Today…I Quite Like It πŸ™‚

We’ve had a quiet day today. Nix wrote to Bron my vet to tell her that she had decided not to force feed me any more medication. I must admit Nix has tried everything that anyone and everyone has suggested and I’ve refused it all. We are waiting for the Vivi treats but Nix says she’s not holding her breath. Anyway Bron wrote back to say that she would do exactly the same and she hoped someone would do that for her when she reached her late nineties πŸ™‚ I did notice Nix making some custard cream balls just now. Maybe she thinks some fresh ones might do the trick but we’ll have to see about that.

We’ve mainly been around town and the beach today because we went in the car to communion this morning and once a day is enough for me. It’s also a bit miserable and cold so I’ve been sleeping quite a lot…usually outside! Nix decided on a whim that as I slept for so long, she might be able to fit in her haircut without having to keep asking people to sit with me. She booked the appointment for tomorrow and then panicked because she felt it was too far to go and it would be leaving me for too long. Jackie isn’t able to do it, but thankfully Barney is going to come and sit with me. I expect I’ll be asleep the whole time but at least Nix will feel more at ease because she doesn’t like leaving me at all really.

We have a new vicar arriving at church next month so we are very excited about that. Nix and the other wardens are trying to sort out cleaning the vicarage etc so it will be all ready for when they arrive. There is a special service on March 14th for his licensing but I won’t be going to that because it’s at the big church and anyway Nix and the other wardens will be part of the procession and they will all have their wands. I think Nix is quite looking forward to it as she hasn’t done it before so it’s quite exciting.

My favourite place in the dark is outside in the garden πŸ™‚

  1. You do need a quiet day once in a while. I can understand that getting into the car can be tiring for you more than once a day. You look content in the garden in the dark. Stay safe. Love you. xxoo
