A Day Of Rest 😴

It is a day of rest today isn’t it, well I’ve been resting quite a lot.  Nix has lots of things to do when we get to church so I do like to accompany her. Once she finally sits down I get comfortable in my bed and I don’t usually wake up again until the service is over. I usually hear the children come in at the end but I know I have another ten minutes or so, they are my snooze button. When we get to the church hall I wait for my biscuit and then I usually doze off because Nix can be forever chatting to people.

After we left the church hall today we drove to the pet shop and I think I might have slept through Nix going in to buy me treats which is slightly annoying because I prefer to choose my own. As it turns out she made good choices, turkey, venison and rabbit.

I am still taking my tablets in the mozzarella which I like very much but I think Nix is a bit bored trying to mould it all together, apparently it’s very crumbly. The good thing is I only have three more weeks for the antibiotics so that will soon be over and then I won’t have as many tablets to take. Apparently, you can get mozzarella balls which Nix is going to buy tomorrow.

It’s quite cold here in the UK and for some reason I like to be outside especially at night. Nix has a choice really…she can close the door each time I come inside but then I will wake her up a couple of hours later to go out again. I usually wake her up about three times during the night so she has decided now to leave the door open all night and have her electric blanket on low for the whole night too. She says she is very cosy in bed as long as she doesn’t move anything because the rest of the room is freezing. As usual, a slight exaggeration πŸ™‚

A special prize this week goes to Kathy Tasker who wondered

why I needed treats to take my tablets and couldn’t Nix just open my mouth and pop the tablet in and then stroke my throat so I would swallow it 🀣🀣🀣 The very mention of this to my vet Bron sent her into a sort of chilling panic attack. No one goes in my mouth, not Nix, not the vet and not even the vet nurses but Kathy is welcome to come and have a go…if she dares πŸ˜‰

  1. I understand Fripp. My Beardie, Molly, would not take her medicine unless I hid it in treat. As long as you take the meds, that is what's most impportant. Love you! xxxxoooo
