New Years Eve…Happy New Year To All Our Followers

 


Apparently there are very loud fireworks going off. I’m fast asleep because I can’t hear them but Nix said they are very loud. She was able to watch the ones our neighbours were letting off from our bedroom but she said they were lighting up the whole bungalow and she knew I’d be scared by the flashing lights if I woke up so she’s closed the blinds now. We are due to go out soon so I hope they’ve stopped by then. Be brave my fellow Beardies, soon be over 🙏



Last night we went for a walk round the graveyard. It’s the ‘churchyard’ actually but I thought I’d add a little atmosphere to the blog 🙂 It’s quite dark but it’s not really scary, Nix said the fireworks made her jump more. 




You know Nix was going to leave me at home this morning when she went for communion because it’s only half an hour. Normally when we get back from our morning walk, I go straight to sleep for quite a long time but I’m sorry, not this morning. By 9.15am I was in the doorway staring ready to go but to be honest by the time I had to get in the car to go there and then get in the car again to come home, I definitely don’t think I’ll bother next week.  




We’ve been to Buckingham Park this afternoon for a bit but it was very windy and a bit drizzly. Tomorrow is going to be worse, the wind will be 60mph which I think is quite windy especially when you live near the sea. I don’t think we’ll be going on the beach.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
